Twins facing fatal genetic disease dedicate lives to advocacy
By Krystal PeakTwin sisters Anabel Stenzel and Isabel Stenzel Byrnes weren’t expected to live past 10 after they were both diagnosed with a fatal genetic disease when they were three. The twins stayed positive and supported one another through their health ups and downs and used their experiences to help others dealing with chronic illnesses. Both are now 41 and making international impact with a memoir and documentary (“The Power of Two”) about their battle with cystic fibrosis that has won a handful of independent awards across the globe. . . .
